Simply put, Empire Theory® is an indie rock band bent on world domination. We aim to change the world for the better, one song at a time.

Most bands set out to define an artistic niche – to create a musical need and fill it. Empire Theory’s goals represent more than just music. The Orlando based rock band’s greater purpose is to use music as a platform to precipitate social change.

“The fact that unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war, is completely unacceptable in this post-modern world,” says singer Sebastian Zaldibar. “This is just one of the many things we are determined to change.” This global humanitarian focus is not only the driving force behind the band, but it defines the musical and lyrical content.

While the band has only recently began creating music under the Empire Theory name, the members have been collaborating musically in different settings for several years. It wasn’t until recently that all members agreed that they wanted to turn their focus towards changing the world for the better through their music.

Musically, Empire Theory brings a sort of creative fusion of Brit / Euro rock with the likes of Phoenix, MUTEMATH, Coldplay and on occasion, the Beatles.

Empire Theory’s music has been featured in a series of television commercials,  and has recently been garnering radio play in several markets.  The band recently released their debut album ‘Colors’.  The album was co-produced by Roy Mitchell-Cardenas and was released August 21, 2012.
